Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday further recovered ₹20 crores with gold bars, jwelleries from the premises of Arpita Mukherjee during raids in connection with the teacher recruitment scam.
According to the sources of ANI, till now Rs 20 crore have been counted so far, and further recovery of money is expected. Cash counting machines were also brought by ED to the residence of Mukherjee.
The report further added that ED conducted fresh searches in a flat said to be in the name of Arpita Mukherjee’s mother in Belgharia Club Town of North 24 Pargana.

The report further added that a notice of a due maintenance amount of ₹11,819 crores has been issued against the name of Arpita Mukherjee.
Earlier on Saturday, ED arrested Partha Chatterjee in connection with the West Bengal Primary Education Board recruitment scam.
ED had earlier seized ED ₹20 crores in cash from the premises of the alleged close aide Arpita Mukherjee who was further arrested. ED further confirmed that more than 20 mobile phones have also been recovered from the premises of Arpita Mukherjee.
