The news has recently created excitement around the topic.

Under the Department of Space, the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) serves as a single point of contact for promoting, guiding, authorizing private sector activities in the space industry.

For indigenous space tourism to become a reality in India, as the Minister suggested, It would take decades, significant funding, and sincere commitment to the cause of space tourism, this would require the Gaganyaan program to be successful repeatedly, the development and successful launch of a reusable rocket, etc.
