Trinidad: India is all set to clash and cease the ODI series against West Indies in the second game at the Queen’s Park Oval on Sunday.
The Men in Blue took lead in the series after a thriller last over win by 3 runs against West Indies. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan marked his stamp with a sublime inning of 97 runs in the first innings. Subhman Gill joined hands and contributed 64 runs.
India managed to score big setting up a target of 308 runs in 50 overs. The bowlers executed the plan with Yuzvendra Chahal. Mohd Siraj and Shradul Thakur bagged two wickets each.
With this win, Dhawan will be looking forward to winning the ODI series and moving ahead to the five T20s scheduled after the ODI series.
West Indies gave tough competition in the first game as they came close to chasing down the target. Kyle Mayers played a balanced knock of 75 runs but failed to lead and convert the innings for his side.
