The 2022 Citroen C3 was launched on Wednesday in the Indian market at starting price of Rs 5.70 lakh. Citroen C3 is a French manufacturer’s second car launched in the country after C5 Aircross. C3 would be likely to compete against Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Tata Punch, and subcompact SUV like Nissan Magnate and Renault Kiger.
The C3 comes with multi-spoke alloy wheels and ground clearance of 180mm, it is powered up by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that gives 81hp and 115 Nm of torque, a turbocharged version of the engine can also opt that makes 109hp and 190 Nm of torque. The two transmission options are a five-speed manual and a six-speed manual respectively, automatic gearbox is not introduced yet. The C3’s front has its sporty Citroen’s signature grille flanked with spilt headlamps and LED DRLs.
Talking about the fuel efficiency the figures claimed on the naturally aspirated engine and turbocharged are 19.8 kmpl and 19.4 kmpl respectively.
C3 is also equipped with plenty of features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play, wireless Android Auto, phone and audio controls on the steering wheel, front and rear USB charging ports, and a digital instrument cluster and many more. Safety features include ABS with EBD, speed sensing auto door lock, rear parking sensors, a high-speed alert system and dual front airbags, also the hatchback does not miss out the features like rear windscreen wiper and defogger, powered wing mirror adjustment, a tachometer, and a central lock/unlock button for the doors, a day/night IRVM.
