Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Shabaash Mithu’ and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘HIT: The First Case’, both released on Friday, July 15, and had a weak box office reception.
As per reports, Rao’s ‘HIT: The First Case’ brought in Rs 1.35 crore on the first day, while the sports drama ‘Shabhaash Mithu’ only made Rs 40 lakh.
According to Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, ‘HIT: The First Case’ made over Rs 1. 35 crores on its opening day.

The Hindi version of the 2020 Telugu blockbuster ‘HIT’ is directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the movie also stars Sanya Malhotra. The plot revolvs around a cop – Vikram, who is trapped between his commitment to his work and coping with the past trauma. The movie adds drama when a young woman, Preethi, mysteriously disappears.
