Emergency First Look: Kangana Ranaut’s Transformation As Former PM Indira Gandhi Stuns Twitterati

Date:

Kangana Ranaut unveiled the first look of her upcoming movie, ‘Emergency’, as she starts shooting the film.

Kangana Ranaut smoothly slipped into the look of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with her grey hair, saree, mannerism, and intense expression. Interestingly, Kangana seems to have worked on her voice modulation to make it sound like Gandhi.

The first look teaser for the movie was released on Thursday and begins with a man taking a phone call in a huge office. As he approaches the woman, we first see Kangana’s face as Indira Gandhi. Kangana’s side profile is shown to the audience as the camera pans to reveal her entire face, and unbelievably, it’s Indira Gandhi rather than Kangana.

Sharing the first look, she wrote “Presenting ‘Her’who was called ‘Sir’ #Emergency shoot begins”

Kangana is also directing the movie based on the emergency of late 1970s under the production banner, Manikarnika Films.

‘Emergency’ is written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote ‘Dhaakad’. Kangana earlier announced that she got renowned prosthetic makeup artist David Malinowski on board for the film.

David has won several awards, including the 2018 BAFTA and Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling in the 2017 film Darkest Hour.

Her fans flooded the first look video with appreciation posts on twitter.
