The post with with a caption in Hindi reads: “यही एक बंदा था जो गरीबी से लेकर बेरोजगारी तक के फायदे बताता था अब पता नहीं कौन बताएगा…??? सुधीर चौधरी को ZEE NEWS ने निकाला” (English translation: This was the person who used to tell the benefits of poverty to unemployment, now I don’t know who will tell…??? Sudhir Chaudhary was removed by ZEE NEWS)

The above post can be seen here.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be false.

Going through Google search with relevant keywords, we came across several news reports suggesting that Chaudhary had resigned from his position to start his new media venture. Such reports can be seen here, here and here.

In an e-mail, dated June 28, 2022, to Zee Media Corporation Chairman Subhash Chandra, Chaudhary has resigned from the position of CEO of ZMCL. “With a heavy heart, I am submitting my resignation with a request to relieve me as early as possible,” Chaudhary wrote in the e-mail.

Chaudhary was serving as Editor-in-Chief and CEO of Zee News, WION, Zee Business, and Zee 24 Taas.

Hence, it is clear that Sudhir Chaudhary resigned from Zee News and the claim of him being sacked is false.
