Edgbaston: India takes a dominating stance at the end of the second day with getting the top order of the England batting order back in the pavilion on Saturday.
England is in trouble with just 84 runs on board while they lost five crucial wickets. Indian test captain Jasprit Bumrah shines with the ball as he bags three wickets in a couple of sessions. Mohd. Siraj bagged in-form Joe Root’s wicket, breaking the flow of England’s batting attack.
India concluded the first innings by putting up 416 runs on board. Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant’s glorious display of batting helped India build a decent test total. It was a day for Jasprit Bumrah as he scored the most runs in an over to Stuart Broad hitting 35 runs.
England will depend on Bairstow and Ben Stokes to take charge and lead the innings on the 3rd day of the test and recover from the slump as the finished the day with a trial of 332 runs for the side.
