Edgbaston: The Indian coach in a major announcement clarified that Rohit Sharma is not ruled out of the fifth test match against England.
Coach Rahul Dravid said that Rohit Sharma is under the supervision of the medical staff and is being monitored. “Obviously he needs to get a negative test to be available. We will keep monitoring him, we still have close to 36 hours to go.”
Currently, KL Rahul is also out of the team due to injury. Mayank Agarwal was added to the squad as a reserve player for the final match and he might open the innings with Shubman Gill.
Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin tested positive ahead of his travel to England. However, he joined the squad later after recovering from Covid-19.
