We ran a keyword search along with the Reverse Image Search of the keyframes of the video and found a better quality video on YouTube.
The video was shared on February 16, 2021, with the title, “Shocking Mermaid Caught on Camera in the Xiloá Lagoon of Nicaragua – in the Real Life 2021.”
The description of the video read, “Mermaid caught on tape 2021 Real or fake ?, strange creature, mysterious, Mythos – lee la descripción. JJPD Producciones. We also found similar videos on their YouTube channel.
We also found another video on the channel which shows mermaids in different settings but it was clarified in the description that all the videos are fictional and are CGI Video (Computer Generated Image).
Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the video is NOT real.
