21-Year-Old Becomes The Youngest Female Sarpanch In Ujjain

Ujjain: Lakshika Dagar, 21-year-old girl, won the three-tier panchayat elections and became the youngest Sarpanch in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

She won the title of youngest lady sarpanch in Madhya Pradesh, just a day ahead of her birthday.

Lakshita was amongst the eight women candidates from the village for the post of Sarpanch in Chintaman Jawasia gram panchayat. The youngest candidate defeated them and won by 487 votes.

She is associated to radio jockey and journalism in Ujjain and has a postgraduate diploma in mass communication.

An atmosphere of celebration started in the village with the declaration of the election results. Voters overwhelmingly supported Lakshika.
