Neeraj Chopra, PV Sindhu and Other Indian Athletes Who Qualified For 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games

New Delhi: After a successful run at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, India is eyeing the upcoming Commonwealth Games set to unfold in Birmingham from 28th July. India on Sunday released a list of the 37-member athletic squad for the Commonwealth Game 2022. The list includes Neeraj Chopra, Dutee Chand, and Hima Das.

DP Manu and Rohit Yadav will also represent India in Men’s Javelin Throw along with Neeraj Chopra in the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Badminton will include PV Sindhu, Aakarshi Kashyap, Treesa Jolly, Gayatri Gopichand, and Ashwini Ponappa for the women’s category. Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty, and B. Sumeeth Reddy for the men’s category.

Indian Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams have already qualified for CWC 2022 with their FIH rankings.

The Boxing contingent will have five-time Asian Games medalist Shiva Thapa along with Amit Paghal, Mohammed Hussamuddin, Rohit Tokas, Sumit Kundu, Ashish Chaudhary, Sagar, and Sanjeet in the men’s category. Nitu, Nikhat Zareen, Jasmine, Lovlina Borghain.

Cricket will feature in the upcoming CWC 2022 for the second time around with a Women’s T20 format game with eight teams including India, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Barbados, England, Pakistan, and South Africa.
