Pulwama: With tensions growing in the valley over the past few days, another encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists in Tujan village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.
The Kashmir Zonal Police confirmed in a tweet that the encounter and clash between the forces and the terrorists is still underway.
Meanwhile, the security forces have gunned down one unidentified terrorist in another encounter in the Tulibal area of Sopore town in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Earlier this week, Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police confirmed that seven terrorists were neutralized including three Pakistani terrorists.
With instances of targeted killings in the valley, the security forces are kept on high alert amid the threats of mass migration by the minorities from the valley.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during his two-day visit to the valley urged people not to allow inimical forces to break the social fabric and noted that the electoral process is likely to begin in the coming months.
