IMD Confirms Arrival Of Monsoon In Several Parts, Heatwave Prevails In North India

New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) confirmed the arrival of the Monsoon in several parts of the country. However, heatwave conditions prevail in north India for the next few days.

According to reports, Southwest Monsoon has further advanced and reached the entirety of Goa and parts of the Konkan and Karnataka.

IMD further added, favorable conditions for Monsoon into several parts of south Maharashtra, Karnataka, and west-central and northwest Bay of Bengal during the next two days.

IMD further predicted rainfall and thunderstorms in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh.

Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in parts of Jharkhand, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and north Rajasthan till 12th June.
