New Delhi: The Election Commission announced that the Presidential election will be held on 18th July.

- EC further added that Notification for the election will be issued on June 15th, and the last date for filing nomination is June 29th.
- Chief Election Officer Rajiv Kumar further added that a total of 4,809 electors will vote in this election.
- EC has directed the use of eco-friendly and biodegradable materials as part of endeavors for future elections.
- Counting of votes will be held in the national capital by the Returning Officer and result will be announced.
- Election Commission will announce the schedule for the next Presidential elections at 3 PM.
- President Ram Nath Kovind’s five-year term will end on July 24th.
- As per Article 62 of the Constitution, an election for the next president must be held before the completion of the incumbent term.
- Presidential Election will be followed by the election of the Vice-President in the month of August.
- NDA is short of the majority mark but has loyal aides like Biju Janata Dal and YSR Congress Party.
- According to reports, the chances of opposition-led candidates winning the election is less.
