New Delhi: South Africa takes a lead by defeating India and chasing a mammoth total of 212 runs, winning the game by 7 wickets in the first T20 game of the home series on Thursday.
The Proteas took the Indian bowling attack and walked all over it. David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen led the South African innings to the first victory in the series. David Miller scored a power-packed inning of 64 runs in 31 deliveries and Rassie van der Dussen played a sublime inning of 75 runs in 46 deliveries.
South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first. India put up a comfortable total of 212 runs for South Africa to chase in the second innings. Ishan Kishan opened the innings and scored a blasting 76 runs. Hardik Pandya added 31 runs in just 12 deliveries taking the total above 200 runs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave away 43 runs in his spell. Others too failed to execute plans as South African batting side took on the Indian bowling attack.
