Manchester: Manchester United’s Sir Matt Busby Player of The Year Award was bagged by Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in his comeback season in the Premier League club.
During his first spell in United, Ronaldo won the award in three campaigns. After an extraordinary return to the club, fans have voted for the Portuguese icon to receive the trophy for a record-equalling fourth time.
Ronaldo registered 24 goals in all competitions this season defying the doubts about his comeback to Premier League after a long time.
Ronaldo scored the majority of goals this season in the Premier League, making him stand just behind Mohd Salah and Son Heung-min.
Ronaldo saved the day for Man United on a number of occasions throughout the tournament, which includes his hat trick against Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City, and his debut against Newcastle United when he netted twice.
David De Gea is the only Man United player to have claimed a quartet of Sir Matt Busby Awards for Player of the Year.
