Punjabi singer and Congress leader Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu (better known by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala) was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Mansa district of Punjab.
Soon after the news broke, an interview clip started making rounds on social media with a claim that it was Moose Wala’s last interview.
Facebook users shared the video with the caption: “Sidhu mosse wala last interview”

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found the video to be old.
We extracted the keyframes of the video and put them through a Reverse Image Search. We found a similar video on the YouTube channel of Zee Punjabi. The video was uploaded on June 28, 2021, and the title read: “EP 13 – Dil Diyaan Gallan – Indian Punjabi TV Show – Zee Punjabi”
We listened to the video carefully and found the viral clip at 1:54 minutes into the video.
As per the video description, Dil Diyan Gallan is a show that is hosted by Sonam Bajwa and comes on OTT platform Zee5. We searched on Zee5 and found that the episode with Sidhu Moose Wala was published on March 6, 2021.
We also searched and found that Sidhu Moose Wala had given several interviews in 2022 to various media outlets, they can be seen here, here and here.
Hence, it is clear that the viral video — from 2021 — is being shared with a false claim.
