New Delhi: Ola Electric founder and chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal have a message for Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk: “Thanks, but no thanks”.
Aggarwal’s tweet on Saturday came in response to Musk’s statement a day earlier on not opening up of ‘manufacturing unit’ of Tesla in India.
Ola recently launched its fleet of E-Vs in the Indian market and successfully panned the future of EVs in India. CEO Bhavish didn’t take the comments made by Elon Musk well.
Elon earlier responded to a user on Twitter who was enquiring about the future of Tesla in India. To which he said that “Tesla will not put a manufacturing unit in the countries which do not allow us to first sell and service.” To this Bhavish responded with a Tweet saying “Thanks but no thanks.”

Earlier in the tussle with EV giant Tesla and India, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari took a clear and firm stance stating that “Tesla is welcomed to manufacture here In India.” He further added that if they manufacture in China and sell here, then that is “not a good proposition.”
