Washington: Former CEO and Co-Founder of Twitter Jack Dorsey has stepped down from the board of directors group amid the takeover bid by Elon Musk.
The announcement was made on the day of Twitter’s Annual Shareholder’s Meeting on Wednesday. With the exit of Dorsey from the Board of Directors role, he is officially and completely out of Twitter.
Jack was in talks to leave the board of directors group soon after he stepped down from the position of CEO and handed over the reins to Parag Agarwal in November.
According to reports, Jack Dorsey was supposed to be part of the Board of Directors till the end of his required term which ended in the year 2022.
The news of Dorsey leaving the company has added to the pressure that the company is going through over the takeover bid of Elon Musk on the microblogging site.
