A video of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor dancing with party workers is going viral on social media, with a claim that these are visuals from Congress’ recent ‘Chintan Shivir’ which was held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. In the viral video, a Bollywood song can also be heard playing in the background.
The video is being shared on Facebook with a Hindi caption, “उदयपुर चिंतन शिविर मे गंभीर चिंतन करते शशि थरूर चाचा”
(English translation: Uncle Shashi Tharoor doing serious contemplation in Udaipur contemplation camp.)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be MISLEADING.
Using the InVid Tool, we extracted keyframes from the viral video and performed a Reverse Image Search. This search directed us to a news report published on May 19, 2022, that carried similar visuals. According to the report, “Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, MP, was seen shaking a leg with Mahila Congress activists in a programme organised as part of Thrikkakara UDF candidate Uma Thomas’ election campaign.”
The incident was also reported by Jansatta on May 19, 2022. The article headline reads, “Kerala: When Shashi Tharoor started shaking hands with women Congress workers.”
Searching further, we also found the same video uploaded on a YouTube page on May 19, 2022. The video caption reads: “Video of MP Shashi Tharoor dancing with women party workers goes viral.” But in this video, we cannot hear the Bollywood song in the background.
Shashi Tharoor also shared this video from his official Twitter profile on May 18, and tagged Kerala Mahila Congress.

Thus, it is evident from the above information that a video of Shashi Tharoor — attending an election campaign programme, organised by Mahila Congress in Kochi, Kerala — is being falsely linked to ‘Chintan Shivir’ of Congress.
