IPL 2022: KKR To Clash With LSG For Slight Chance Of Qualifying In Playoffs

Date:

Mumbai: Kolkata Knight Riders will clash with Lucknow Super Giants as they fight to keep alive the slight chances of making it into the playoffs of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday.

Kolkata Knight Riders are placed at sixth position on the points table. Skipper Shreyas Iyer and his side managed to pick themselves up and get back-to-back wins in the last two games with a higher margin.

Andre Russell is in form and has consecutively taken charge of the batting order and led the innings to a decent total. However, the turning point of the last match was KKR’s in-form bowling attack where Russell continued to shine. He bagged three wickets and wrapped up the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

However, Ajinkya Rahane is likely to miss the rest of the tournament due to an injury while batting in the last game.

Lucknow Super Giants are placed at the third position but are off track. Skipper KL Rahul and his side have lost the last two matches and will be looking to bounce back and secure a place in the playoffs.

Deepak Hooda scored an outstanding half-century in the last game while the top batting order crumbled in front of the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack. Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan will have to lead the innings in the upcoming games and manage the bowling attack.
