Veteran Australian All-Rounder Andrew Symonds Dies In A Car Crash

Queensland: In another tragic blow to Australian cricket, veteran Australian All-rounder Andrew Symonds died in a car accident on Saturday night. 

According to police reports, the accident took place on Hervey Range Road near the Alice River Bridge in Queensland, Australia when his car left the road and rolled.

Andrew Symonds is the third Australian cricket legend to die in sudden death after Shane Warne and Rod Marsh in the month of March. 

According to a report by Senior cricket journalist Robert Craddock, Symonds was killed about 50 km outside Townsville. As per the police statement, Symonds was in a single-car crash at about 10:30 pm. Paramedics reached the site as soon as they were informed about the accident but the team failed to revive the former cricketer. 

Andrew Symonds dominated world cricket as an all-rounder between the years 1999 to 2007. He was known for his on-field aggression. After retirement from cricket, Symonds was working with Fox’s cricket commentary and news team.
