A simple Reverse Image Search on the image took us to an article by The Financial Express, where the same image was featured. In the original image, there was no portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru.
On searching further, we found that the same image was also shared on the official Twitter account of PM Narendra Modi on May 2, 2022. The post read, “I had wide-ranging discussions with Chancellor Scholz. Today’s talks covered trade, commerce, innovation, culture and people-to-people linkages. India and Germany are working together on several subjects. This partnership will benefit our entire planet. @Bundeskanzler”
Hence, from the above fact-check, it is clear that the viral image is edited.
