In a bizarre incident, 39 people including 17 tourists were injured after they were attacked by stray dogs in Kashmir’s Srinagar on Friday evening.
39 persons were injured when a pack of stray dogs attacked them in the Dalgate area. News agency IANS reported a local as saying, “The injured included 17 tourists and 22 locals. All the injured were shifted to hospital.”
The Medical Superintendent at Srinagar’s SMHS hospital, Kawaljeet Singh, confirmed that 39 people with dog bites were reported at the hospital.
Dalgate area on the bank of the Dal Lake is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Srinagar city.
As per the reports, earlier also people have appealed to the authorities to act against the increasing stray dog menace in the city.
