This Is Why Prashant Kishore Declined The Offer To Join Congress

Date:

New Delhi: Amidst speculations, poll strategist, Prashant Kishore, declined the offer to join the Congress party on Tuesday.

Kishore suggested that the grand old party is in need of leadership and unity in order to fix the ‘structural problems’ within the Congress.

“More than me the party needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep-rooted structural problems through transformational reforms,” Prashant Kishor said.

Earlier, Congress leader, Randeep Surjewala in a tweet said that Following a presentation & discussions with Prashant Kishor, Congress President has constituted an Empowered Action Group 2024 & invited him to join the party as part of the group with defined responsibility. He declined. We appreciate his efforts & suggestion was given to the party.”

The Congress was seeking Prashant Kishor’s assistance as the party is gearing up for the upcoming elections in states as well as for the Lok Sabha Elections in 2024 following Congress’ crushing defeat in the recently concluded assembly polls in five states.
