New Delhi: Following a series of meetings with the top brass of the Congress party, poll strategist Prashant Kishore declined the offer to join the grand old party, Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala confirmed.
Randeep Surjewala in a tweet said that “Congress President has constituted an Empowered Action Group 2024 & invited him to join the party as part of the group with defined responsibility. He declined.”
He further added that “We appreciate his efforts & suggestions given to the party.”
Prashant Kishore also took to Twitter and said “I declined the generous offer of Congress to join the party as part of the EAG & take responsibility for the elections.”
He further took a dig at the party leadership and suggested that “In my humble opinion, more than me the party needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep-rooted structural problems through transformational reforms.”
Congress is gearing up for the upcoming elections in the state as well as for the Lok Sabha Elections in 2024.
