New Delhi: Amid the surge in COVID cases in the past few weeks, India registered 2,541 new COVID cases on Monday. The total active caseload in the country goes up to 16,522 cases.

The positivity rate in Delhi stands at 4.48% as per the data in the last 24 hours.
Mumbai reported 73 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours.
Karnataka reported 60 new COVID-related cases in the last 24 hours.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai during his meeting with the Prime Minister said that fresh guidelines will be issued on Monday to curb the recent spike in cases in the state.
Amid the spike in cases in China, Beijing began a mass COVID testing drive of over 3.5 million people on Monday.
According to the report, Tests will begin in Chaoyang district after the area registered the highest spike in the number of COVID cases in the capital.
