India Celebrates The Efforts Of Panchayats On Panchayati Raj Day

Date:

India observed the National Panchayat Raj Day on Sunday. This marks the 73rd Amendment of the constitution in 1992 which constitutionalized the Panchayati Raj system in India with a proper structure to ensure grass-root level development of the country.

India that lies in the village has different issues from the urban cities. The aspirations and needs are different for this part of India. While you are concerned about the slow Internet speed of your wifi, a regular farmer is working hard in his field to make ends meet and survive.

The Panchayat Raj system in our country is unique in its sense. It is a democratic setup ensuring fair and equal representation based on the demographic of the villages.

Some panchayats in our country have lived to the spirit of providing what the common villagers aspire to achieve, some went beyond the idea of Panchayat with the vision to change and uplift the lives of people in their area.
