Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore were crushed by Sunrisers Hyderabad as they won the match by nine wickets in the ongoing Indian Premier League on Saturday.
Marco Jansen bowled out the entire top order of Royal Challengers in his first over with wickets of skipper Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Anuj Rawat. Other batsmen failed to build a partnership leading to the lowest total of the ongoing IPL season so far.
RCB put up a total of 69 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad which was easily chased down and the team registered a win by nine wickets in hand. RCB put the low score on the anniversary of their lowest and highest totals in the Indian Premier League.
SRH opener Abhishek Sharma scored 47 runs while chasing the low score total on the board.
Virat Kohli get out on the first delivery he faced in the match, making it his second dismissal on the first delivery in this season of IPL.
RCB’s in-form finisher Dinesh Karthik failed to hit big in this game as had to depart on the third delivery of Jagadeesha Suchith.
Marco Jansen was declared Player of The Match for his outstanding and unplayable spell of securing three wickets.
With this crucial win, Sunrisers Hyderabad moved up to the second position in the points table. Gujarat Titans are leading the points table after registering a win against KKR on Saturday.
