New Delhi: Amid the surge in COVID cases in the national capital, the Delhi government on Friday issued fresh Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for schools to follow.

According to the Directorate of Education, School staff will ensure that no students or staff should enter the school premises if they have symptoms of COVID.
The SOP also lays down a strict and mandatory thermal screening of students and staff members at the gate of schools. Hand sanitizers have also been made mandatory at school entrances, classrooms, labs, and places of public gathering.
The SOPs further suggests that parents should not send their children to school if any family member shows symptoms of COVID. Teachers are also advised to gather information about the family members of students and whether they have COVID-related symptoms while taking class attendance.
