IPL 2022: Player Tested Positive In Delhi Capitals Camp

Mumbai: A player from the Delhi Capitals team tested Covid positive during the Rapid Antigen Test.

The team has to postpone their travel from Mumbai to Pune for the next match on Wednesday against Punjab Kings.

According to ESPN Cric Info, the cricketer is an overseas player who has tested positive during the RT-PCR tests, and the team has been quarantined for the time being in the hotel.

According to reports, the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has asked the team to postpone their departure to Pune and wait till fresh RT-PCR Tests are done on Monday.

This will be the third case inside the Delhi Capitals camp after their physio Patrick Farhart tested positive last week and was sent into isolation. It is the first Covid case in any of the teams since the start of the IPL 2022.
