Australian PM Cooks PM Modi’s Favourite ‘Khichdi’ To Celebrate New Trade Agreement With India

Days after India and Australia signed a massive historic trade deal, Prime Minister Scott Morrison shared some pictures on Instagram showing how he is celebrating the new trade agreement between the countries.

In the Instagram post, PM Morrison can be seen taking a selfie in the kitchen while cooking the popular Indian comfort food ‘khichdi’. The second image shows khichdi served next to Curry.

While sharing the images He wrote, ” To celebrate our new trade agreement with India, the curries I chose to cook for curry night tonight are all from my dear friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujurat province, including his favourite Khichdi. Jen, girls and mum all approve.”

Earlier, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that the signing of the India-Australia trade agreement will further deepen economic relations between Canberra and Delhi while opening a big door into the world’s fastest-growing major economy.

Speaking at India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement virtual signing ceremony on Saturday, the Australian PM said that this deal is the single largest government investment in Canberra’s relationship with Delhi.

“This agreement opens a big door into the world’s fastest-growing major economy for Australian farmers, manufacturers, producers and so many more,” he said.

India and Australia signed a massive historic trade deal aiming to boost economic ties between the two countries.
