FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be misleading.
On closely observing the image, we found that it mentioned, ‘@AdvAshutoshBJP’ was mentioned in the top-left corner of the image.
Taking a hint, we searched on Google with the keyword, ‘@AdvAshutoshBJP’, and found a Twitter account of Adv. Ashutosh J. Dubey. As per the Twitter bio, he is a Legal Advisor of BJP-Maharashtra Palghar District.
On scrolling through the tweets of Ashutosh Dubey, we found that he has shared the image with the caption that reads, “Now perfect!!”. Moreover, replying to a tweet by Vivek Agnihotri, director of the movie ‘The Kashmir Files’, where he shared the same image, Dubey wrote, “Thank you, @vivekagnihotri Ji, I feel honored that you shared my art!”
We found that Times Now had also shared a video of the gate of Arvind Kejriwal with a caption that reads, “#WATCH | Gate at the residence of Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal painted saffron by @BJYM workers in protest of Arvind Kejriwal’s statement on Kashmir Files.”
However, in the video, we can see only the red paint. The name of the film was not actually painted on the gate but has been added digitally.
Thus, we can ascertain that the viral claim is misleading.
