‘Sharmaji Namkeen,’ the last film of late veteran actor Rishi Kapoor which holds a special place in the hearts of fans, was finally released on Amazon Prime Video.
The film has been through major challenges following the sudden demise of Rishi Kapoor while the film was only halfway completed.
Later, Paresh Rawal stepped in filling in Kapoor’s shoes as the film’s leading man, with Juhi Chawla and completed the family drama. The film marks the first time in Hindi cinema with two outstanding actors sharing a screen for one character.
Sharmaji Namkeen is a story of Brij Gopal Sharma, played by Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal who is retired and struggling to stay motivated.
Sharmaji wants to turn his passion for cooking into a career to help him cope with his post-retirement melancholy.
