A post is being widely shared on social media with a claim that Shah Rukh Khan has made an appeal to his fans to watch his upcoming movie ‘Pathan’. The post claims that SRK has said that if Pathan flops then his house, Mannat, will have to be sold off. The post further asks people to boycott the movie to ensure that his house gets sold off!
The post reads, “शाहरूख खान ने की भावुक अपील, उनकी फिल्म पठान फ्लॉप हुई तो घर बिक जायेगा! आइए
शाहरुख का घर बेचने में मदद करें!!” (English translation, “Shahrukh Khan did an emotional appeal, if his film Pathan flops then his house Mannat will be sold. Come let us help in selling his house.”)
The post is being shared with a caption that reads, “आप सभी मित्रों से अनुरोध है कि शाहरुख खान का भरपूर ध्यान रखें और शाहरुख का घर बिकवाने में हमारी मदद करें।” (English translation, “All of you friends are requested to take good care of Shahrukh Khan and help us to sell Shahrukh’s house.”)

NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
We searched with appropriate keywords but could not find any media report suggesting that Shah Rukh Khan has made any such statement.
We also checked SRK’s Instagram and Twitter handles but did not find any such appeal made by him.
We found Shah Rukh had uploaded the teaser of Pathan on his Twitter handle on March 2, 2022. However, no such appeals were made. The teaser was shared with a caption that reads, “I know it’s late… But remember the date… Pathaan time starts now… See you in cinemas on 25th January, 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you.”
The same post was viral earlier when Vishwas News contacted the spokesperson of Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment who confirmed that SRK has not made any such appeal till the date.
Hence, we can ascertain that Shah Rukh Khan has made no such appeal.
