Amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, a video has gone viral on social media showing a man performing on stage along with some women with a claim that he is Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found it to be shared with a false claim.
On performing Reverse Image Search, we found a screengrab from the video carried in an article that was published on February 23, 2020. The headline of the article translates to, “Comedian from the “League of Laughter” received the post of head of the RGA in Khmelnytskyi: Zelensky’s decree.”
According to the report, the man performing on stage is Vasily Gumenyuk, a comedian turned administrative official. Zelenskyy had appointed Gumenyukis in a new administrative role back in 2020.

Gumenyuk participated in the Ukrainian comedy show ‘League of Laughter 2017. The longer version of the viral video was uploaded on a YouTube channel on October 21, 2017. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi can also be seen on stage at the start of the performance.
Therefore, with the above information, it can be concluded that the viral video is being shared with a false claim.
