As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine intensified, Government of India stepped up evacuation efforts to ensure safe passage of stranded Indians. In this backdrop, a video is being shared on social media with a claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin himself went to one such rescue aircraft to oversee the evacuation.
The video was shared on Facebook with the caption, “Russian President Putin himself went on aircraft of AI to convince Indians. What a Respect for India. Be proud of to be an Indian.”

We then ran another search and found that the same video was also shared on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. “India’s Ambassador to Romania, Shri Rahul Shrivastava, interacting with the Indian nationals,” the title of the video read.
