New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reiterated the importance of adhering to the UN Charter, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Participating at a virtual summit of QUAD leaders along with US President Joe Biden, Australian PM Scott Morrison and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, PM Modi emphasized the need to return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.
Quad leaders’ virtual summit came amidst the Russian invasion of Ukraine and stepped-up offensive by Russia. PM Modi’s remarks came in reference to the evolving situation in Ukraine.
Leaders also discussed other issues, including developments in ASEAN, Indian Ocean Region.
