Amid the ongoing Hijab row in Karnataka, video of a girl wearing hijab went viral on social media on February 8, 2022. In the video, the girl was heckled by a group of saffron-scarf clad students chanting religious ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogans. In response the girl shouted ‘Allah Hu Akbar’. The girl in the video was identified as Muskan Khan, who is being dubbed as the face of protesters standing up against hijab ban.

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On searching with keywords, ‘muskan khan on burj khalifa’, we could not find any media report to corroborate the viral claim.
We searched further on Burj Khalifa’s Twitter handle but couldn’t find the video there as well.
We also found that on February 6, 2022, Burj Khalifa was lit up with Emaar logo. Dubai-based Emaar incidentally developed Burj Khalifa.
On comparing the original video with the viral video and we found them to be similar. Burj Khalifa was lit up with blue light and also had fountains running in the original video, which can also be seen in the viral video as well.
Hence, a morphed video went viral with a fake claim that Muskan Khan’s photo was projected on Burj Khalifa.
