Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday conferred digital certificates to Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees for the years 2022 and 2021 using blockchain technology, via video conferencing.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given as recognition to children residing in India, above the age of 5 years and not exceeding 18 years (as on August 31 of respective year) with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievement in 6 fields of innovation, scholastic achievements, sports, arts and culture, social service and bravery, which deserve recognition.
Meet the winners under the ‘Innovation’ category:
1. Shivam Rawat
- Shivam Rawat has done extensive research on Indian Mustard plant using Bioinformatics with focus on increasing crop productivity.
2. Vishalini N C
- Vishalini N C is among the youngest patent holders of India.
- She has invented “AnAutomatic Multi-Functional Life Rescue Flood House” which can help prevent drowning during floods.
3. Jui Abhijit Keskar
- Jui Abhijit Keskar has developed a device that will help give relief to those suffering from Parkinsons.
- Keskar has invented a wearable tremor profiling device called JTremor3D and has also come up with JTremor Index.
4. Puhabi Chakraborti
- Puhabi has developed a user interface which helps in treatment of COVID patients.
- She has also developed an AI-based application for athelets to support their nurtitional needs.
5. Aswatha Biju
- Aswatha Biju is a budding palaeontologist and has a deep interest in studying fossil specimens.
- She has collected specimens from field visits and also made efforts to generate awareness about this field.
6. Banita Dash
- Banita Dash has designed an automated sanitizing school bag.
- Dash has been recognized as a ‘Citizen Scientist’ by NASA and IASC.
7. Tanish Sethi
- Tanish developed many mobile applications including an unique e-commerce initiative called “Pashu Mall”.
- The app connects buyer and seller cattle farmers online.
