Fact Check: Educational Video Showing Man Attempting To Kidnap A School Girl Shared As Real Incident

A video of a man attempting to lure and kidnap a girl from outside her school is being shared on social media with a claim that it is the CCTV footage of a real incident.

Facebook users are sharing the video with a Hindi caption which can be translated in English to: “Careful, schools should not let girls stand outside of the gates alone. This girl made a narrow escape, otherwise, a dead body would have been found in some bushes. We need to learn from such videos. Careful, now that schools have opened, these sleeping vultures have also woken up…see 2 min CCTV camera footage of the incident. Don’t know where this video is from but school administration, family and children all need to be careful.”
