FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above message and found it to be FAKE.
Firstly, we searched the web for related news items but couldn’t find any news report corroborating the above claim.
We checked the link and found that the website holds no authentic government credentials. The landing page carried a huge picture of PM Modi along with a similar text as mentioned in the viral post.
It should also be noted that the URL does not have a gov.in or nic.in domain, which all government-run websites have. Take a look at GOI’s Digital India website for reference.
On digging further, we found a tweet by the government’s nodal agency Press Information Bureau (PIB), in which it refuted the viral claim and clarified that no such scheme is being run by the government.
