As the festive season begins, everyone is gearing up to celebrate Navratri and Durga Puja. Beginning today, 7th October, Durga Puja and Navratri will be celebrated with pomp and splendour all across the country, both are dedicated to worshipping Goddess Durga in her different forms, the rituals, however, will be slightly different.
“Navratri” which in Sanskrit means “nine nights” is a celebration for nine days, worshipping Goddess Durga’s nine forms.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many festivals have been cancelled. The situation has steadily improved, but the fate of large-scale celebrations remains uncertain. As Navratri 2021 begins, Garba and Dandiya, the major events of the festival, are banned in many places, in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus. But definitely, we can enjoy the festival at our homes.
