Prime Minister Narendra Modi began met a number of CEOs of top companies in Washington DC soon after arriving on his three-day visit to the US. He also met his Australian counter part Scott Morrison ahead of the QUAD meeting.

The two leaders discussed a wide range of subjects aimed at deepening economic and people to people linkages between India and Australia, according to a tweet by the PMO.
In his meeting with CEOs, PM Modi discussed technology advancement, defence manufacturing in India, renewable energy, 5G and public WiFi as well as drone technology, start ups and use of technology in education sector.
The CEOs were from General Atomics, First Solar, Qualcomm, Adobe and other companies. It is Mr Modi’s first foreign visit in the last six months amidst the corona pandemic. He will meet US Vice President Kamala Harris later in the day.
