FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found it to be shared with a false claim.

With the help of Reverse Image Search using the keyframes of the video, we found the same video uploaded on a Facebook page on February 25, 2019.

We also found the video was uploaded on other Facebook pages and YouTube in February 2019 as well.

Though NewsMobile couldn’t independently verify context of the video, however, it is clear that the video is not recent. Taliban took control of the Kabul on August 15, 2021.

As of now, there are no such reports of the new Taliban leadership making any statement aimed at threatening India on Kashmir. At their first press conference, the Taliban spokesperson said no threat will be posed to any country from Afghanistan.

Therefore, an old video is being falsely shared as recent amid the ongoing Afghan crisis.
