A picture of a bridge and a flyover is being shared on social media with a claim that it shows the construction of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the post to be misleading.

A Reverse Image Search on the picture of the road led us to an article by The Times of India dated October 5, 2016, featuring the same image.

“Road connecting Faridabad-Greater Noida will be made upto Yamuna Expressway and going through Jasana-Majhawali-Atta Gujran-Jaganpur,” the picture was captioned.

In the above image, we noticed the text “courtesy: Jaypee” written at the bottom left corner. Taking a cue from this, we ran another search along with relevant keywords and found a picture of the same location from a different angle which was shared with the caption, ” Gateway of 6 lane 165 Km Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida to Agra.”

We also found similar visuals of the Yamuna Expressway in a YouTube video from 2019.

Further, we checked Google maps and confirmed that the above picture is of the Yamuna Expressway interchange.

Moreover, we also found that the second image in the post is a digitally proposed image of Sardar Bridge on Narmada. See the link here.

However, the said bridge was inaugurated by PM Modi in 2017. The media reports can be seen here, here and here.

Hence, based on the above information, we can say that the viral post is misleading.
