Farhan aces the boxer look in 'Toofan'

Farhan Akhtar shared a glimpse of his training session to give fans a sneak-peak into his transformation to Boxer for the character of Aziz Ali, ahead of his upcoming film “Toofan”. He made everyone’s jaw drop with his intense looks and athletic body.

Farhan posted a video learning to give a perfect punch, and not only he gave but took some of the most brutal punches, he wrote, “Took about two years to bring the boxer persona to life. This wouldn’t have been possible without the belief & support of this amazing team. Watch my boxing journey here.”

In the clip, he talked about his intense experience and told the audience how demanding the sport is. Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said, talking about the actor’s journey, “Boxing is a very unique sport. It’s not a sport for everyone. We didn’t train for a film, we trained to be a boxer”.

The actor gained 15 kgs in six weeks and went through dyed-to-the-wool training for two years. He took six months to learn the basics.

The new song from the film, ‘Jo Tum Aa Gaye Ho’ was released on July 8. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, it also features Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Hussain Dalal and Supriya Pathak in the crucial role. The film will be streamed on Amazon Prime Videos on July 16 2021.
