A black-and-white photo of a handcuffed man is being circulated on social media as that of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
The post is being shared on Facebook with a caption in Punjabi which translates to, “In the last days, Bhagat Singh had adopted Sikhism. Bhagat Singh’s hair was more than six inches and ninety when he went to the gallows … Bhai Randhir Singh This makes it clear that Bhagat Singh was not wearing a hat but a turban.”

Further, a blog called ‘History of Pashtuns’ had also published a similar photo with the title “Tafazzul Husain Khan, Nawab Of Farrukhabad, 1857”.
A ScoopWhoop Hindi article had published images of revolutionaries who had sacrificed their lives in the 1857 revolution. The viral image was also included in the article captioned “नवाब तफ़ाज़्ज़ुल हुसैन खान” (Nawab Tafazzul Husain Khan).
Thus, it is evident from the above information that the handcuffed man in the viral image is not Bhagat Singh but Nawab Tafazzul Husain Khan, Nawab Of Farrukhabad. Therefore, the viral claim is false.
