Kangana Ranaut To Star In And Direct Indira Gandhi’s Biopic ‘Emergency’, Says ‘No One Can Direct It Better’

Actor Kangana Ranaut took to social media platform to announce that she will be the director of her upcoming project “Emergency” which is basically based on former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.

The actress also revealed that she will be working with Kahani writer, Ritesh Shah.

The actor wrote “please to wear Director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me, collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments, I am determined to do it, my excitement is high this is going to be tremendous journey, my leap to another league”

The Manikarnika director also posted 2 posts in which she can be seen preparing for the shoot.

The Padma Shree awardee is also working as a producer for the first time for the film, ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ and her upcoming projects are ‘Thalavi’, ‘Tejas’, ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’ in her kitty.
